Hello everyone. It’s nice to meet you. My name is Lydia and I am one of the new teachers on the Eigo Love learning channel.

So first, I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. As I’ve already mentioned, my name is Lydia. And I live in the United Kingdom. Currently, I am living in the city of Oxford. I’m not usually living here. I am from a county called Shropshire in the UK. This is a very rural location with lots of farms and castles and lots of farmyard animals like sheep and cows.

I am living in Oxford to attend university. I currently study medical science. I will be graduating in two years time. My life goal is to become a doctor. I have always dreamed about being a doctor ever since I was a little girl.

A few months ago, I lived in Yokohama, Japan. I was a playing English teacher. And I also did some modeling on the side. I really loved this job. It was not only exciting, but I met a lot of interesting new people. And had many different and wonderful experiences. So now, I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself so we get to know each other better.
About my favorite sports

Firstly, I love sports. I have done many sports throughout my life, from hockey to fencing and also a little bit of lacrosse. Probably, my most favorite sport is tennis. I have played tennis ever since I was a little girl. If I can recall, I think I started playing tennis from the ages of two.

I also loved to dance. Dancing for me, it’s a special kind of sport. I find that you can express yourself and deliver a message to your audience. I love dancing so much. But I did ballet from, I think, the ages of three. So that means I’ve done dancing for twelve years. It was a very tiring experience though. My new sport I am currently enjoying is ice skating. Luckily, in Oxford, we have a very nice and large ice rink. And it’s not too far from where I live. I don’t think I’m very good at ice skating though. I need to practice much more.
My favorite films and dramas

I also really enjoy watching film and dramas. My current obsession on Netflix is this series called Kingdom. Have you seen it? It might be a bit gruesome for some, but I really enjoy it. About my hobby

Also, one of my hobbies I love so much is traveling. I have been to many amazing countries and met many wonderful people and experienced their culture and food. And now I have a bit of an obsession for it. I feel like Japan though holds a special place in my heart. Maybe that’s why I’ve already traveled to Japan five times in only two years. I hope to travel more in the future. And I definitely want to come back to Japan in the summer.
